Narrative and communications strategy for companies whose story hasn't caught up to their momentum

Book a judgment call
Why me

The ability to see a narrative problem before it becomes a business problem. Most clients come back because the work doesn't stay at the surface - it gets embedded in how leadership talks about the company, how the story holds up in rooms I'm not in, and how the next moment lands better because the foundation was built right the first time.

AboutBackground

Most of the companies I work with have strong traction and a weak external story. The business has moved faster than the narrative and that gap starts showing up in sales conversations, fundraising discussions, and how the company is understood by people who should be paying attention. I work with venture-backed B2B founders and leadership teams to close that gap. That means building the core narrative first, then translating it into how the company shows up in media, executive visibility, investor conversations, and key company moments. My background spans fintech, enterprise software, AI, compliance, and mobility - with in-house experience at companies like FloQast and Fieldguide, and agency work across B2B tech for the better part of a decade. I've run communications programs through Series A through E announcements, product launches, category creation, and executive positioning. This isn't a high-volume model. I work with a small number of companies at a time and stay closely involved. Most engagements begin with a three-month foundation period and continue as long as the work is creating value. If your business is moving faster than your story, that's usually the right moment to talk.

How I workApproach

Most engagements start with a three-month foundation period. I work closely with founders and leadership teams to build and apply narrative in real business situations, not in isolation. That usually means a mix of messaging development, strategic guidance, and hands-on support across fundraising, launches, media, and executive visibility. This isn't a high-volume agency model. I stay tightly involved, work with a small number of companies at a time, and focus on building the right story rather than producing deliverables for their own sake. The goal is a narrative that holds up in the market and keeps working long after the initial engagement ends.

What I can do for you.

Brand Narrative & Positioning System

$10,000

The starting point for most engagements. This is where we establish what the company is, how it's different, and how it should be understood across the audiences that matter most. The work covers positioning, messaging architecture, and category framing - pressure-tested against real situations like fundraising conversations, sales cycles, hiring, and media. The output is a durable narrative system that travels across website, decks, executive communication, and external moments, not a one-off messaging document. Most clients continue into an ongoing engagement after this phase.

Executive Voice & Thought Leadership Build

$30,000

Builds a founder or executive into a credible, consistent external voice, grounded in the company's core narrative rather than assembled from scratch. Includes POV development, content pillars, and initial outputs across LinkedIn, op-ed angles, and talking points. The focus is on clarity and consistency, not content volume. The goal is a defined voice and a repeatable way of showing up that builds authority over time rather than generating noise. Typically runs alongside or following the narrative foundation phase.

Fundraising Round or Company Milestone Communications Sprint

Rapid-turnaround narrative strategy for active fundraising rounds or major company milestones - product launches, partnerships, customer announcements, business news. Covers narrative refinement for the specific moment, founder talking points, press release strategy, and stakeholder messaging. Designed to move quickly without sacrificing the underlying story. The work anchors to the announcement but is built to hold up in the conversations that follow. Can run as a standalone engagement or as part of a broader retainer.
